Schools cannot share personal information about students or their families for immigration enforcement purposes without a court order or judicial subpoena. Westminster School District safeguards all student information in compliance with these laws

Generally, no. Schools are prohibited from granting access to campus by immigration enforcement officers without a judicial warrant or court order. In Westminster School District, any such requests are processed through the Office of Educational Services to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Westminster School District provides counseling and support staff to assist students who may be experiencing stress or anxiety related to immigration concerns. While the district cannot offer legal advice, it is committed to supporting students' emotional needs and can direct families to appropriate community resources

School employees must immediately refer any immigration status inquiries to their principal and the District's Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services.

The release of student information is strictly controlled and can only be authorized by school administrators. Such disclosure would require either written parental consent or a court-ordered subpoena, and would be processed in consultation with Educational Services. This protocol ensures compliance with privacy laws and protects our students' rights.
