General Information

12 Month employees earn 13 days of full paid sick leave each year. Less than 12 months get pro-rated sick leave. (3rd day of consecutive illness require doctor's note.) Sick time accumulates year to year and there is no limit to total usage of earned time.

10 days of sick leave is posted at the beginning of the school year. Full time staff also accrue one additional day of sick leave per year. (5th day of consecutive illness require doctor's note.) Sick time accumulates year to year and there is no limit to total usage of earned time.

Sick Leave Care can be used up to 20 days maximum. After 20 days of sick leave care is used it becomes up to the employee to apply for additional unpaid leave if necessary.

"Personal Necessity" - Accrued sick time may be used for personal business, responsibilities which cannot be taken care of outside of the normal work hours. Cannot be used to extend holidays or vacation time.

7 Personal Necessity days can be used per year out of the accrued sick leave time available. 48 hours advance notice shall be given to their supervisor for approval unless in the case of an emergency situation.

"Out of Sick Leave" - Once an employee has used all available accrued sick leave, additional 5 months of sub differential leave is available with a doctor's note for the employee's personal illness and/or medical appointments.
