The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their household members with free, confidential assistance to help with personal or professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities and obligations. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a toll-free nationwide number. Employees and their household members can receive up to 6 counseling sessions per person, per problem, per year.

You may purchase individual policies from American Fidelity including Disability Income Insurance, Basic Cancer, Limited Benefit Accident Only Insurance, Life Insurance (term, whole and permanent), and 403(b) Tax-Deferred Annuities (fixed and variable). The District benefit cap (medical only) for per employee is:

If your benefit elections cost more than the cap, the difference will be deducted from your paycheck in 9 payments beginning October 31, 2024, or November 10, 2024, as appropriate. 

The Basic Life, AD&D, and Employee Assistance Program benefits are provided at no cost to you and are paid entirely by Westminster School District. You and the District share in the cost of the Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits you elect. The Voluntary benefits you elect will be paid by you at discounted group rates. Your Medical, Dental, and Vision contributions are deducted before taxes are withheld which saves you tax dollars. Paying for benefits before‐tax means that your share of the costs is deducted before taxes are determined, resulting in more take‐home pay for you. As a result, the IRS requires that your elections remain in effect for the entire year. You cannot drop or change coverage unless you experience a status change.
