Superintendent's Message
Dear Westminster School District Community,
October was a month filled with celebration, pride, and reflection on the incredible achievements happening across our schools. I am thrilled to share that seven of our schools have been named to the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll, a prestigious recognition that highlights schools excelling in student achievement and closing performance gaps. In addition, every school in Westminster School District has been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report “Best Schools” rankings, affirming our district’s commitment to academic excellence, equity, and innovation.
These honors are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families. Each recognition reflects the heart of what makes WSD exceptional—our shared belief that every child can achieve their highest potential when given the right opportunities and support.
October also brought wonderful moments of community connection, including Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day, where students and families joined together to promote healthy habits, safety, and sustainability. Events like these remind us that learning extends beyond the classroom and that a strong community is key to student success.
As we move into the final months of the year, I want to express my deep gratitude for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are building a future where every student feels inspired, empowered, and ready to succeed.
Kind Regards,
Gunn Marie Hansen, Ph.D.
Superintendent
Westminster School District
