Dear Westminster School District Community,
The 2026-27 school year is officially underway, and there is a lot to be excited about across Westminster School District! This year, we are coming together around a simple message: One District. One Team.
Inspired by our WSD core value of CONNECT, this theme reflects something we believe strongly: students thrive when schools, families, staff, and our community work together.
From the first day of school, our focus is on creating welcoming environments where students feel safe, supported, connected, and ready to learn. Across WSD, our teachers, classified staff, administrators, and support teams work together every day to make our schools places where students are known, cared for, and encouraged to succeed.
That work extends beyond academics. It means building strong school communities, creating meaningful relationships, and supporting the whole child throughout their educational journey. Learning and connection don't stop when the final bell rings.
WSD is proud to provide expanded learning and after-school opportunities across all of our school sites, giving students additional opportunities to learn, explore interests, build friendships, and stay connected to their school communities.
For our families, these programs also provide an important resource and another way WSD supports students throughout the day. Our award-winning Dual Language Immersion programs continue to be an important part of the opportunities available to WSD students. Through our dual language pathways, students have the opportunity to become bilingual, biliterate, and culturally competent, developing skills that will serve them in school, their future careers, and an increasingly connected world.
The beginning of a school year is filled with possibility, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Whether you are returning to WSD or joining our district for the first time, welcome to the 2026-27 school year.
