Electric Single Rider Vehicle (E-Bike) Policy
As part of Westminster School District’s safety program, the District has adopted the following policy applicable to any student using any electronic single rider vehicles on District property, including any school site. As further explained below, this Policy applies to any single rider electrically powered vehicle, including electronic bicycles and electronic scooters.
The District does not promote or endorse the use of Electric Single Rider Vehicle nor does the District guarantee or suggest that its policies will ensure the safety of students using Electric Single Rider Vehicles. The District encourages all students, parents, and guardians to carefully consider whether the use of an Electric Single Rider Vehicle is a valid option based on their specific needs. Further, the District cannot, and does not, guarantee the safety of any student using an Electric Single Rider Vehicle after complying with the District’s Electric Single Rider Vehicle Policy. The District offers its Electric Single Rider Vehicle as a tool to help students use Electric Single Rider Vehicles safety. Students, parents, and guardians are strongly encouraged to utilize other resources, including the information provided below, to learn and utilize safe practices when using any Electric Single Rider Vehicle.
