For many families, the start of a new school year brings a mix of excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a few first-day jitters. As students prepare to return to school on August 26, Westminster School District is preparing too, ensuring that every child
has access to the support, resources, and opportunities needed for a successful year ahead.
At WSD, we believe that student success is about more than academics. Our commitment to the whole child means creating learning environments where students feel supported academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. It also means recognizing that strong schools are built through strong partnerships with families.

From nutrition services and student support programs to family resource connections and expanded learning opportunities, our goal is simple: remove barriers, strengthen supports, and help every student reach their full potential.
As teachers finish preparing their classrooms and staff welcome students back to campus, our focus remains on creating spaces where students feel safe, connected, and excited to learn. Every interaction, program, and service contributes to building the foundation for student success.
Families agree. In a 2025-26 survey, 96 percent of WSD parents say their child's teachers do more than teach; they inspire, encourage, and prepare them for whatever comes next, in the classroom and beyond.
